HOW TO GET HERE
Map and Directions
Directions from OR Tambo International Airport/ Johannesburg To Braai Safaris Lodge
- Via the R21 towards Boksburg, go left on the N12 direction Emalahleni/Witbank/Middelburg.
- At Emalahleni/ Witbank the N12 changes to the N4. Continue direction Nelspruit/ Mbombela.
- After passing Middelburg toll gate and past Alzu petrol station (good break stop) take the next exit/off ramp R33 direction Belfast/Dullstroom.
- At the exit go left direction Emakhazeni/ Belfast (R540). At the end of the centre, turn right direction Dullstroom/Lydenburg and continue straight via Dullstroom to Lydenburg(Mashishing).
- After Lydenburg(Mashishing), take the R36 to Ohrigstad and pass the Abel Erasmus Tunnel towards Hoedspruit (R527).
- After a while, you enter the town of Hoedspruit. Continue straight until you pass over the railroad bridge and reach a 4-way stop (right R40 White River, left R40 Phalaborwa). Here you turn right.
- At the next four way stop you turn left. Follow the road to the end (approximately 400m) and you will see the entrance to The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate straight in front of you.
- Follow the sight that says visitors entrance (left side). They will have been informed of your arrival.
- Give them your access code and inform them that you are visitors at Braai Safaris Lodge number 448.
- Please adhere to the strict speed limit of 40km/h and keep a look out for wildlife that might cross the road.
- Once through the gate keep left and follow the road past the horse stable and around the bend.
- Turn right at the first road (AKASIA) and after about 50m turn left at the first road (TAAIBOS).
- Follow the road, you will find Braai Safaris Lodge on the right marked 448.
